Report to: Head of Research

Key Responsibilities: The Research Manager will oversee strategic research initiatives, bridging collaboration between the institutional focus research team and retail research team. This position requires a candidate with strong analytical skills, strategic vision, and proven experience in a similar scope.

• Work closely with Head of Research and be responsible for developing and executing weekly and monthly research strategies which enhances the quality, relevance, and timeliness of reports, including macroeconomic and sectoral analyses
• Provide actionable insights to support institutional and corporate clients
• Conduct in-depth analysis of macroeconomic trends and the initial impact on sectors as assigned by Head of Research
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients including but not limited to Vietcap’s local brokerage, domestic and foreign institutional clients
• Manage and mentor junior and senior analysts, fostering a culture of growth, accountability, and performance
• Keep abreast of market trends, industry developments, and macroeconomic shifts to maintain the relevance of research outputs
• Engage in public relations and marketing activities to promote the company’s image and reputation including presentation in seminars, writing media articles, appearing on television and financial talk shows
• Other tasks as assigned by the Head of Research.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, commerce, banking or economics
• MBA or CFA is a must
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record in macroeconomic and/or multiple sector-specific research.
• Familiarity with multiple sectors such as banking, oil and gas, retail, or others.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and develop a team of analysts
• Deep understanding of the Vietnamese consumer market and its regulatory environment.
• Strong financial analysis and professional writing skill
• High integrity, professionalism and well organized
• Fluency in written and oral Vietnamese and English is a must
• Flexible and able to work under intense pressure is a must
• Willing and able to travel whenever required.
