RESEARCH (SENIOR) ANALYST – ENERGY & UTILITIES SECTOR

Department: Research.
Report to: Head of Research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research coverage of companies in the energy sector, including financial modelling to produce forecasts and estimates of intrinsic and relative equity values.
- Writing investment reports (in English) on individual companies and sector strategy reports.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external clients including but not limited to Vietcap’s local brokerage, domestic and foreign institutional clients.
- Engage in public relations and marketing activities to promote the company’s image and reputation including presentations to clients, in Vietnam and abroad.
- Other tasks as assigned by the Head of Research.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in finance, commerce, banking or economics.
- MBA or CFA qualifications desirable.
- Experience in finance with proven analytical skills
- Strong financial analysis and professional writing skill.
- High integrity, professionalism and well organized.
- Fluency in written and oral Vietnamese and English is a must.
- Flexible and able to work under intense pressure is a must.
- Willing and able to travel whenever required.
- Working experience in foreign firms and/or overseas educational experience desirable.
- Knowledge of the energy sector (oil & gas and/or power/utilities) is a plus.
