Fixed Income April 2023 - SBV continues to rebuild foreign reserves

G-bond issuance tripled in 4M 2023

- In April, the Vietnam State Treasury (VST) issued VND34.8tn (USD1.5bn) of G-bonds (almost unchanged vs March) with a winning rate of 84.4%. The VST issued VND139.7tn (USD5.9bn) of G-bonds in 4M 2023 — up 3x YoY.

- The VST planned to issue VND120tn (USD5.1bn) of G-bonds in Q2 2023 — up 14.4% QoQ. At the end of April, the VST had achieved 29% of its Q2 2023 plan and 34.9% of its full-year 2023 plan.
