VN-Index traded choppily in the first session of the week before closing 0.49% higher. Market breadth was notably positive, with 245 advancers outpacing 88 decliners on the HOSE, including 13 stocks hitting their ceiling prices. Total trading value came in at around USD677mn.
* Banking and Financial Services stocks led the market higher, supported by TCB (+5.6%), VPB (+3.4%), TCX (+1.8%), SSI (+2.7%), and VIX (+2.6%).
* Oil & Gas and Utilities also performed strongly, with BSR (+2.7%), PLX (+4.3%), GAS (+7.0%), and POW (+1.8%) advancing.
* Materials and Industrials saw broad-based gains, led by GVR (+6.9%), DPM (+2.5%), PHR (+2.0%), GEX (+6.3%), GEE (+3.6%), VGC (+6.9%), and PVT (+5.7%).
* Consumer Goods and Consumer Services also strengthened, supported by SAB (+3.9%), MWG (+2.8%), FRT (+3.8%), and DGW (+2.3%).
* Real Estate traded mixed, with VIC (-3.0%), VHM (-1.9%), and CRV (-3.8%) under pressure, while BCM (+7.0%), TCH (+4.2%), DXG (+3.3%), and IJC (+6.9%) advanced.
