The VN-Index rose 0.6% (+10.7 pts) on Monday to close the trading day at 1,701.7. Large-cap real estate and consumer stocks led the day’s gain. Across the index, there were 125 gainers, 177 laggards, and 53 unchanged stocks. Total trading volume declined from the previous trading day to USD796.5mn.
* Real estate tickers VIC (+3.6%), VHM (+2.7%), and VRE (+1.9%) surged, while BCM (-1.5%), KDH (-2.4%), and KBC (-1.9%) plunged.
* Consumer stocks VPL (+6.9%), SAB (+5.6%), MSN (+1.8%), and VNM (+1.9%) posted strong gains.
* In banking, TCB (-1.6%), CTG (-1.2%), LPB (-1.4%), ACB (-1.0%), and HDB (-1.6%) dropped.
* Notable gainers in other sectors included industrial firm GEE (+7.0%), utility company GAS (+3.2%), oil & gas company PLX (+1.6%), and tech company FPT (+0.5%).
