Our view: We watched the market extend losses but recovered by the afternoon session as sentiment improved gradually. The VNI swung from an intraday low of 379.6 (-1.7%) to 385.8 (-0.1%) at the close. The main index was buoyed by slight gains in GAS (2%) and VNM (1%) but weighed down by BVH and EIB, both of which closed at the lower limit. The HNI still faced strong selling pressure, sliding 0.96% to 59.73 led down again by ACB (-6%).
