After falling in the first two sessions of the week, the VN-Index bounced back on Wednesday as it jumped 1.3%. The strong gain contrasted with declines in other Asian markets following US President Donald Trump stating that a US-China trade deal may not come until after the 2020 US presidential election. Banks dominated the day with VCB (+3.3%), CTG (+4.3%), TCB (+4.0%), VPB (+5.6%) and BID (+1.6%) among the top seven contributing gainers.
