VN-Index jumps to five-month high, breaks 580 resistance level. The VN-Index smashed through the 580 resistance level Friday, surging 16.75 points, or 2.9%, to 592.48, a five-month high. It was the biggest one-day increase for the market since January 25 and boosted the current rally to 6.6% over the last three weeks. Today's gains put the index into positive territory for 2016, up 2.3% year-to-date.
