On Thursday, the VN-Index jumped to a seven-week high as it gained seven tenths of a percent. The index has increased in five out of the past six trading sessions. Banks experienced big gains on the day. BID (+5.9%) and CTG (+5.5%) were the top two contributing gainers, respectively. TCB (+1.7%), MBB (+2.6%) and HDB (+3.2%) also climbed. On the other hand, EIB (-2.5%) declined. Other notable gainers included HVN (+3.6%), NVL (+1.8%) and FPT (+1.7%).
