On Friday, the VN-Index gained 1.3% on a strong performance from the banking sector. For the week, the VN-Index increased 6.7%, snapping a streak of two straight negative weeks. VIC (+2.4%) was the session’s top contributing gainer. Bank tickers surged, led by TCB (+3.7%), CTG (+3.2%), VCB (+1.1%), MBB (+3.7%) and VIB (+4.7%). Steelmaker HPG (+1.7%) increased 8.6% on the week.
