The VN-Index was flat on Friday, inching up by just two hundredths of a percent, as the 900-point threshold served as a resistance level. For the week, the VN-Index declined by 1.4%, snapping a run of five straight positive weeks. BCM (-3.8%) was the top contributing decliner for the second straight day. Banks CTG (+1.2%) and HDB (+3.6%) increased — the latter hitting a nearly 19-month high. Real estate developer PDR (+4.8%) has skyrocketed 30% since the beginning of September.
