The VN-Index climbed eight tenths of a percent on Tuesday, extending its winning streak to five sessions and hitting a new record high of 1,308.58 despite numerous new cases of COVID-19 in Vietnam. Banks performed extremely well. VCB (+2.5%) was the day’s top contributing gainer. In addition, MBB (+3.0%), SSB (+6.9%), BID (+1.5%), TCB (+1.4%) and TPB (+5.2%) advanced. Steelmaker HPG (+3.1%) snapped a two-session losing streak. SAB (+2.6%) has jumped 5.1% in the last two sessions.
