VN-Index extends gains for third day, closes above 600. The VN-Index rose for a third straight session, closing above 600 for the first time since November 2015. The market was in positive territory for the entire day, reaching above 605 before a late slump left the index at the close up 2.44 points, or 0.4%, to 601.51. The market, up 8.2% over the last month, was led higher by banks, which have added to strong April gains.
