The VN-Index fell for a second consecutive day as banks and energy stocks, two sectors that have led the market's rally since the beginning of April, slumped. VCB (-1.8%) was the largest contributor to the index, followed by BID (-2.1%) and CTG (-1.1%). Energy shares also sold off, mirroring a two-day pullback in global crude oil prices, led by GAS (-0.9%), PVD (-3.0%) and PVS (-3.2%). The index dropped 3.25 points, or 0.5%, to 619.20.
