VN-Index drops for second day as financials lead pullback
After a three-day weekend, the market opened slightly higher but quickly slipped into the red, bottoming at 660 in the morning session before closing down 4.64 points, or 0.7%, at 664.55. For a second day, VCB (-3.8%) was the top contributor to the index's losses, matching a two-month low after a 12% slide over the last four sessions. Other financial firms that helped pull the index down were BVH (-2.4%), CTG (-0.6%) and EIB (-6.3%).
