VN-Index closes week on high note as GAS, MSN lead gains. Vietnamese stocks rose for a third day, peaking above 666 in both the morning and afternoon sessions before closing up 1.63 points, or 0.3%, to 662.28. GAS (+4.0%), which often trades in tandem with global oil prices, was the top contributor to the index and climbed to a five-week high after Brent crude advanced to above USD51/bbl in Asian trading on Friday, extending a 22% jump over the last three weeks.
