The VN-Index was in positive territory most of Thursday, reaching above 617, its highest in intraday trading since July 2015. However, a slump in the last hour of the session left the index down 1.94 points, or 0.3%, to close at 612.12, the low for the day. The largest contributors to the drop were VCB (-2.0%), VNM (-0.7%), CTG (-1.7%), HPG (-1.5%) and MBB (-1.3%).
