VCSC Daily - Trading slumps on lack of conviction

Market Commentary

23 Apr 2012

Investors lack conviction – Trading was slow on both exchanges with turnover on the VNI down 42% and the HNI down 30%. The country’s CPI for April came in at only 0.05% MoM, the lowest in 37 months and but the news did little to boost sentiment. Investors are now focused on the slowdown in growth coming from weak demand and a possible increase in electricity price after last Friday’s gasoline hike.
