Trading became even more limited today as liquidity shrank 24% to a disappointing level of just USD56.8 million. Accordingly, share price movements remained quite mild in the quiet environment. Two of Vietnam's F&B blue-chips, VNM and MSN, were up 0.8% and 2.1% respectively to become today's largest index contributors. Meanwhile, the banking sector stood on the positive side of the market today with gains from CTG (+1.2%), VCB (+1.0%) and MBB (+1.4%) overshadowing losses from BID (-1.2%).
