Volatile trading continued in Vietnamese markets as the VN-Index jumped 2.4% on Thursday. Trading value on HOSE was strong at USD263mn, including net foreign selling of USD29mn. For May, the index fell 7.4%, its second month of losses following a 10.6% plunge in April. Large caps rose across the board, led by VIC (+4.5%), SAB (+4.8%), HPG (+6.3%) and PLX (+6.0%). Banks also rallied, including VCB (+4.0%), BID (+6.0%), CTG (+5.7%), MBB (+5.6%), VPB (+4.2%) and HDB (+6.3%).
