Vietnam’s PMI reaches second highest level in survey’s history. According to Nikkei/IHS Markit, Vietnam’s PMI rose to 56.5 in November, the second highest reading since the PMI was first compiled in March 2011. This figure showed the outstanding performance of Vietnam’s manufacturing sector, which ran counter to the sluggish performances of this sector in Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore, where PMI results below 50 (signifying a contraction) were recorded.
