The VN-Index looked for most of the session to be poised to extend its recent hot streak. The index broke 680 in the morning and then again in the afternoon, but both times it retreated back. In the last hour or so of trading, the market gave back 15 points, or about 2.3%, closing at the low for the session, down 8.43, or 1.3%, at 666.69.
