The VN-Index traded above 1,170 - the market's all-time high from March 2007 - during the afternoon session before slipping lower to close up nine tenths of a percent to 1,169.36. The index has jumped 19% so far this year and is up 63% from a year ago. VIC (+3.7%) hit a record high and has soared 38% over the last six weeks amid no apparent news catalyst.
