Coming off its largest one-day drop of the year, the VN-Index traded sideways, inching lower by less than a tenth of a percent. For May, the index advanced 2.8%, its best month since January. Steel firms HSG (+6.9%), NKG (+6.6%) and HPG (+3.6%) surged after the MOIT announced import tariffs on some steel products (see our note above for tariff details).
