After a few minutes of trading on Tuesday, the VN-Index had leapt to above 931, or 1.5%. However, right after the lunch break, the market tanked to 895, or down 3.8% from the peak of the morning, before rallying into the close to end the day above 927, or up 1.1%. SAB (+6.8%) was the largest contributor to the gain after MoIT announced that a Vietnamese entity related to Thailand's ThaiBev had bid for more than 25% of SAB. Brewer BHN (+7.0%) also hit its trading ceiling.
