The VN-Index continued its slow and steady climb over the last two weeks, peaking above 1,000 early in the afternoon session before sliding into the close to finish up two tenths of a percent for the day. Trading value on HOSE jumped to USD223mn. GAS (+2.3%) was the top contributor among gainers and has surged 55% since July 5. Most banks also rose, led by TCB (+1.7%), VPB (+2.0%), MBB (+1.4%) and STB (+1.2%).
