The VN-Index edged higher on Wednesday as bank names continued to surge after dipping yesterday. Financials (+1.5%) led advancers as banks - BID (+3.8%), MBB (+6.8%), CTG (+2.9%), VCB (+1.5%) - made up the top four contributors to the index's gain. MBB reached a fresh record high after the company said it received approval from the central bank to sell stakes in its MCredit unit. PNJ (+4.2%) jumped to a record high and is up 68% from a year ago amid no apparent news catalyst.
