Stocks flat amid tepid trading volume. The VN-Index traded in negative territory for almost the entire session, but a late jump left the market up by less than a tenth of a percent at the close. Trading value on HOSE slumped to USD138mn. VRE (+3.5%) was the top contributor to the slight gain as the retail unit of VIC continued its week-long bounce off its lowest level since listing in November 2017. Most banks enjoyed modest gains, such as BID (+1.1%), VCB (+0.5%) and TCB (+0.9%).
