Stocks fall for fifth day, led down by VNM, financials. The VN-Index opened higher but quickly fell into the red, hitting a low of 646 in the morning. It then recovered to peak in the afternoon at 654 before slumping to close down 0.57 points, or 0.1%, at 649.30, the fifth straight day of losses. VNM (-1.3%) led the market lower amid light summer trading, the third session it has dropped since announcing last week it received regulatory approval to raise its FOL.
