The VN-Index fell for a third straight day on Thursday, closing down four tenths of a percent to below the 900-point level. The market is now down 25% from its peak in April 2018. VIC (-3.2%), the largest listed company by market capitalization, slumped to its lowest level since late May amid heavy foreign selling. Banks were mixed, but two laggards – VPB (-4.3%) and HDB (-2.8%) - tumbled to their lowest levels since their listings.
