The VN-Index jumped Wednesday, extending a 2.6% rally so far this week, as foreigners net bought shares for the first time this month. The index was in positive territory almost the entire session and closed near the high of the day, up 5.11 points, or 0.8%, to 668.48. GAS (+2.4%) was the top contributor for a second day, reaching an 18-month high on the back of an 87% year-to-date spurt. GAS and PVD (+2.6%) were fueled higher by a 2% increase in Brent crude oil prices in Asian trading today.
