The VN-Index closed 1.2% higher on Wednesday, extending a streak of gains in six of the last seven days. The index has bounced 13% over this stretch after plunging 24% from April 9 to the intraday low on May 29. Trading value today was modest at USD210mn, below the daily average of the last month of USD283mn. GAS (+4.3%) was the top contributor to the market's gains for a second day while fellow energy names PVD (+3.8%), PVT (+1.2%) and PLX (+2.4%) also pushed higher.
