Market wrap: Stocks edge up on GAS, banks. The VN-Index inched higher by a tenth of a percent on Friday. For the week, the index fell 1.7% and has dropped six of the last seven weeks. GAS (+5.1%) was the top contributor to the market’s small gain today as the firm continues to move largely in step with volatile global crude oil prices. VPB (+6.8%) and HDB (+7.0%) led a rally in bank names, bouncing back from pronounced pullbacks earlier this week.
