The VN-Index opened Wednesday’s session by plunging more than 2%; however, the index climbed back throughout the day’s trading to close up by three tenths of a percent. In terms of market breadth, there were 181 gainers and 96 decliners, while 79 stocks went unchanged. Several banks increased. BID (+4.3%) was the day’s top contributing gainer. CTG (+2.4%), VPB (+3.3%) and MBB (+2.9%) all increased following big declines on Tuesday. Conversely, VCB (-3.1%) dropped to a two-week low.
