Our view: Share prices fell sharply on Monday as investors fled from risky assets. We did see demand come back late in the afternoon session to lift the VNI from a 386 intraday trough. At the closing bell, VNI lost 2.17% to 388.88. GAS, VCB, VNM, and BVH wiped a total of 4.37 index points. MSN, on the other hand, gained nearly 2% to pare some of the loss. The HNI retreated 3.84% to 58.07. Liquidity swelled on both bourses thank to bottom fishing and support from foreigners.
