Stocks close out Q3 earnings season on down note. The VN-Index closed down a percent and gave back most its gains from the end of last week as the financial and energy sectors led selling. Banks fell despite reporting broadly positive Q3 results, though the biggest drag on the sector today, BVH (-4.5%), hasn't announced earnings yet. Energy names, such as GAS (-2.9%), PVD (-6.4%) and PVS (-3.0%), dropped as Brent crude traded below USD50/bbl in Asian trading today to start the week.
