The VN-Index sunk a half of a percent in morning trading on Monday, but it rebounded in the afternoon session to hit a 19-week high as it closed up by a half of a percent. VCB (+3.2%) was the leading contributor the gain as it rose for the third straight session. Fellow bank EIB (+2.5%) also climbed. On the other hand, CTG (-1.4%) and STB (-1.8%) were both among the top 10 contributing decliners. In the petroleum and gas segment, GAS (+2.8%) gained while PLX (-1.7%) fell.
