Despite starting Tuesday’s session in negative territory, the VN-Index reversed course in the afternoon to close up by six tenths of a percent as liquidity on HOSE soared to USD504.8mn — well above the one-month average of USD383.5mn. VIC (+1.1%) was the top contributor to the day’s gain. Dairy company VNM (+1.4%) snapped a three-session losing streak. Several banks posted big gains, including VPB (+4.1%), VIB (+6.9%), STB (+5.5%), CTG (+1.2%), TCB (+1.7%) and MBB (+2.5%).
