Market wrap: Stocks bump higher, led by GAS, BVH. The VN-Index closed up three tenths of a percent on Wednesday for a fifth straight day of gains. GAS (+2.6%) led gainers, extending a 35% jump over the last seven weeks as the price of Brent crude oil rose for a fifth consecutive day to above USD73/bbl. BVH (+4.8%) surged to a two-month high after soaring 25% over the last month. Banking tickers, such as VCB (-1.3%), BID (-1.5%) and CTG (-0.9%), however, adjusted to trim the index’s gains.
