Market wrap: Stocks advance; oil & gas tickers jump. The VN-Index gained eight tenths of a percent on Monday, closing at 997.5. GAS (+3.1%), PLX (+1.9%) and PVD (+4.1%) all saw gains as the price of Brent crude hit above USD70 a barrel for the first time in five months. Banks were mixed with VCB (+2.3%), BID (+1.3%) and CTG (+1.8%) among the top-ten gainers of the day. TCB (-2.0%), VPB (-1.0%) and HDB (-1.2%) fell.
