The VN-Index rose on Wednesday, closing up six tenths of a percent. Trading value on HOSE slumped to USD157mn, well below the average of the last month of USD218mn. VRE (+3.2%) was the top contributor to the day’s gain, followed by MSN (+2.3%) and HPG (+2.4%). Banks also rose, led by BID (+1.8%), VPB (+2.5%) and TCB (+1.0%). FRT (-2.0%) fell to its lowest level since listing in May 2018 amid net foreign selling and low trading volume. FRT is down a third so far this year.
