Sell off on the VNI as large caps struggle. The weak morning opening quickly escalated into a broader sell-off in the afternoon, pushing the VNI to a low of 582.86, 8 points below the opening level. Ironically, VNM was the only large cap that contributed positively to the index, gaining 0.8%. Apart from VNM, none of the VNI top 10 largest tickers were able to make gains: VCB (-2.4%), GAS (1.4%), BVH (4.3%) all closed at today's lowest price and witnessing significant losses.
