The VN-Index jumped in the final 20 minutes of trading on Thursday to close up by four tenths of a percent — extending its winning streak to four sessions — as investors are hopeful that the Vietnamese economy is entering an upswing. For the second day in a row, SAB (+3.0%) was the leading contributing gainer. Since hitting an all-time low of VND115,500 on March 24, the company’s share price has jumped to VND157,000. SAB’s northern counterpart, BHN (+3.8%), has soared more than 24%.
