Profit-takers step in to cool surging market. The VN-Index traded in the red for most of Friday's session, popping into positive territory in the afternoon only briefly before sliding into the close, down 2.82 points, or 0.4%, to 685.73. Today's decline was largely due to profit taking and reactions to oil price declines. Today was the market's first down day in two weeks, breaking up a nine-day winning streak that had brought the index to an eight and a half year high.
