Positive finish but VNI still down for the week. The VNI surged 2.5 points to closed at 604.64 points drawing support from the broader uptrend of the market. VNM, being a major market mover, ended a 3-session slide with a modest gain of 0.8% in price but was today's index point contribution leader. Similarly, large-cap real estate developer, VIC, also closed up a 0.7% as the real estate sector received a boost from positive earnings releases.
