VNI continue to rise but HNI suddenly slows down. During early hours the HNI was rallying stronger, driven by the usual “leading” stocks SCR, PVX, KLS, VCG etc. while on the southern bourse, both the point gains and turnover were much milder. Yet as the morning session drew to a close and the afternoon session kicked in, things reversed. Whilst the VNI came back really strong enlarging the intraday gain by another 1%, the HNI’s key tickers stumbled into the red.
