Market went sideways in the first day back from Tet holiday. While Vietnam markets were closed for the lunar new year holiday, the global markets went through dramatic volatility as Nikkei stumbled over 13% last week. Market sentiment in Vietnam followed suit in the morning session as the VNIndex dropped as much as 1.3%. However, a rally in the afternoon led by VNM (+1.6%) and the banking sector helped VNIndex close relatively flat vs last trading day (-0.2%).
