Market takes breather to end week. After rising three days in a row to a 10-month high, the VN-Index ended the week down slightly, pulling back 1.42 points, or 0.2%, to 629.84. Leading the losses was GAS (-2.4%), which followed a drop in global crude prices, along with VNM (-0.7%), VIC (-0.9%), STB (-5.0%) and BID (-1.1%). On the positive side, VCB (+0.8%) and BVH (+2.4%) led the gainers. The VN-Index advanced 1.3% this week and has closed-up in nine of the last ten weeks.
