Major index movers closed in the red. An early morning pop failed to hold as the market tipped over to negative territory in the afternoon session. Repeating a now familiar pattern, gains in mid and small caps were not able to offset losses in heavy-weights. The VNMidCap and VNSmallCap indices both notched a 0.4% increase while the main index, VNI, fell 0.7% to close at 599.99 points.
