Local sentiment dimmed as the market again fails to break through the 580 resistance. The VN-Index opened at today's peak at 579, but was quickly pushed down to 576 in the morning session. In the afternoon, it once again challenged the 580 resistance, but ultimately failed and settled at 578, gaining 0.72 points, or 0.12%, at the close. The largest sectors by market cap, such as banks and consumer goods, walked the fine line between the positive and negative territory.
